Branding, Web Design, & Travel Journal
TravelPlanners.net has always been a Family Owned Business, since 1984, and has always lend a “personal touch for the customers travel needs.” The agency has been growing as fast as the travel industry products and providing individual customer service, or the do-it-yourself travel booking on line, yet keeping a direct link to one of our Travel Agent Specialist.
I wanted the design to portray the brand as authentic, trustworthy, and adventuresome. I was inspired by vintage postage, tickets, and travel posters. For the branding, I created a cohesive brand identity, but also department specific—air, car, train, and sea. For the postscript details on each logo, I made actual stamps to create the authentic stamp texture, using blacklight, translucent paper, and photopolymer plates. I also looked to classical literature for inspiration—creating an itinerary travel journal inspired by Ernest Hemmingway, mapping out the milestones in The Sun Also Rises.
